About Dan
Trained as a fine artist studying electronic and temporal arts, sculpture performance and installation. And has worked as a technologist since 1998; creating and developing websites, digital publishing systems and designing, creating and administrating computer systems and networks. All the while providing technical support and education for colleagues and stakeholders.
My technical skills include extensive cross platform experience, the integration of heterogeneous systems, front end, infrastructure and server side code, design and development. As well as multimedia production; for Internet and recorded media and live performance.
The organisations I have worked with range from national broadcasters and international NGOs to individuals and small businesses.
I have a deep interest in the arts, philosophy and science and have worked in these topic areas as a technologist and communicator.
I also have interests in music, community, politics, and environmental concerns.
Aside from technology I am currently beginning to work on learning Japanese.
